On December 23rd 2024, Dean Gady Jacoby of the School of Management from the University of British Columbia, Canada visited our university. The School of Management,together with the International Cooperation and Exchange Office holds a cooperation meeting in Conference Room 612 of the Administration Building. Professor Hu Bin, Dean of the School of Management, Professor Qiu Menghua, Vice Dean, Professor Zhou Bing from Department of Applied Economics, Ms. He Binglun from International Cooperation and Exchange Office and Associate Professor Xie Yanxi attended the meeting.
Professor Hu Bin, dean of the School of Management, extended a warm welcome to Dean Gady Jacoby and his delegation, and briefly introduced the basic information of the scale of teachers and students, major and discipline setting, scientific research, international affairs of the school of Management. He said, the two sides can implement feasible and unique attractive cooperation programs as the key point, such as students short-term exchange program, 2 + 2 undergraduate double degree program, etc. In addition, the two sides may focus on joint scientific research cooperation opportunities for professors, promoting talent training and the depth of the fusion of the academic exchanges.
Dean Gady Jacoby expressed his gratitude for our warm reception. He highly recognized and appreciated Dean Hu's suggestions on the future cooperation between the two universities, and expressed the strong willingness of the University of British Columbia Canada to promote the implementation of the international exchange programs with our university. He said that the management schools of the two universities have their own strengths in professional setting, and hoped to strengthen the development of disciplines and deepen the friendship between the two universities through more cooperation.
